Position the microphones correctly.

Once you have chosen the right microphones for your drum setup, it’s time to position them correctly. The placement of each microphone will depend on the type of drum and the sound you want to achieve. Generally, you want to place the microphone close to the drumhead, but not so close that it interferes with the drummer’s playing. For example, for a snare drum, you can position the microphone above the drumhead, pointing towards the center of the drum. For a bass drum, you can place the microphone inside the drum, near the beater. Experiment with different placements to find the best sound for your setup.
